Welcome to Friday Flash Fiction
A LITTLE BIT ABOUT FRIDAY FLASH FICTION
Friday Flash Fiction first began in September 2013 when a LinkedIn member threw out a challenge to other group members to write a story of no more than 100 words. Within a year over 1000 stories were submitted; scores more visitors came to read. But as the discussion developed, it became clear that contributors had to find it easier to find us, and then to find a way of posting their own stories.
So this is our permanent website, showcasing our particular brand of flash fiction. Remember as you read what's here that the contributors do it for fun, to try out writing styles, and to entertain - themselves as well as you. If you think you could do better, then we'd definitely like to see you try. Even if you feel yours wouldn't be as good, send something in anyway. We're really very nice to new authors. Classic Friday Flash Fiction contains no more than 100 words, but we accept an small selection of other stuff, too, subject to an absolute limit of 500 words. Have a look around. Tell us a little about yourself if you can, too. There's a little bit about some of the existing writers on this site. They almost all have day jobs, even if most of them need to get a life.
Go on – why not try it?

We don't copy and republish stories submitted to LinkedIn (where this started) or to the WordPress blog. Please feel free, however, to submit to these blogs and also to ourselves as well. That gives us the authority to publish your work.
And don't forget our wonderful Authors' Page, where you can already find a photo and a brief biography of over 90 of them. We'd love it if you felt able to add to that number.
