James, an American IT-engineer had a productive brainstorming-session with Manish and Anita, fellow Indian counterparts in Bangalore. Later, James embarked on a city-tour, chauffeured by millennial Bikash. Soon, the car hit a massive traffic-jam.

James: What’s going on?
Bikash: A huge prayer.
James: Which God?
Bikash: Vikram, Bollywood’s current super-hero. He tweeted to millions to pray for his latest one, releasing tonight.

Unconvinced, James came out, walked forward, and noticed two huge yellow construction-cranes in front of a billboard adorned with Vikram’s face. Dangling, a gentleman was pouring milk, while a lady praying with an oil-lamp.

They’re Manish and Anita.

Since Friday Flash Fiction began in September 2013, 100-word stories have remained its 'beating heart'.

Normally, 100-word stories are scheduled for 07.00 BST (GMT in the winter) on the following Friday. However, where a larger number of stories (more than 25) are due to be published on the same day, we publish the later ones EARLIER around 4.00 am. On the rare occasions where there are more than 50 stories, we'll post an even earlier set, probably around 2.00 am UK time.
