They sing this to me. They actually have the nerve. If they believed that, why would they weigh down my branches with heavy baubles they call ornaments?
“Maybe I can help,” the cat suggests.
“What can you do?”
Instead of meowing an answer, she knocks the baubles from my lower branches.
“There!” she says. “No toys weighing down your branches, and I can play!”
“Toys?” I ask.
“Humans call them ornaments; I call them toys.”
The humans come home and see the cat playing with the toys from my branches.
“Clara! What have you done?”
