Isla pondered the shoe display in the shop’s window, and she was mesmerized. The red leather shoes with the four-inch-heels beckoned her to come closer. She felt they would make the perfect companion for her little black dress. After she entered the shop, she tried on the shoes, and to the chagrin of her bunions and calf muscles bopped in front of a floor-length mirror. The following evening her new classic red sneakers and her little black dress proved to be an immediate success as she danced the night away. And her feet couldn’t have been happier.

Happy feet and a smile are way more attractive than heels. Nice Story.

Very nice. It reminds me of the Johnny Otis song, "High-heeled sneakers."

Thinking back, how did I ever wear stilettos? Not necessarily because I got wiser (add question mark). Rather the body got older.

I'm afraid we drones (males) will never understand what women see in uncomfortably high heels. Give me the happy smile any time.

Women's relationship with high heels is complicated. Thank you, Gordon for your thoughts on the matter.

Red sneakers with a little black; a great combination designed to impress much more than heels.
