“What?” said Savli, swiveling her eyestalks.
“My plutons are gone!”
Savli sighed. “What happened?”
“Tod took them! I saw him!” Zinky yelled, bristling.
Savli turned her eyestalks back to the pot she was scrubbing “I thought you said Tod’s invisible,” she said.
“He is!” Zinky snapped.
Savli sighed. “OK. Where were your plutons last?”
Zinky scowled. “In my pocket.”
“And where were you?” she said gently.
“In Piqitibo’s,” he muttered.
Savli smiled. “I bet you and Tod both have shiny purple tongues,” she said. “And I made your favorite for dinner, and now you won't taste it.”
