Looking miserable, she sighed.
“Autographs?” she asked.
“Only if you wish.”
“Not today.”
“Okay.”
She closed her eyes and thought of a time long ago when her only dream was to be famous.
Her limo rolled to a stop, and someone opened the door. Outside, people clapped and called her name. Cameras flashed.
She got out and forced a smile, dreaming of the only thing now beyond her reach: to be unknown.
