“The beef on weck.”
“Pardon me?”

“Weck,” she said, sounding irritated. “Roast beef on a kummelweck roll.”
“A kummelweck roll?”
“Thin roll with salt and caraway seeds.”
“With roast beef?”
“Yeah. Rare. Cut thin and topped with horseradish.”
“I’ve never heard of it.”
“It’s a local favorite,” she said, tapping her pen and rolling her eyes. “Yer in Buffalo.”
“Okay,” he said, looking wary. “I’ll try it.”
