I stiffen. I’m out enjoying my day in the sun, when the little girl’s statement throws me for a loop. However, I do my best, by giving my usual greeting.
“No. That’s not it!” the girl gripes. “Where’s the right one, Daddy?”
“Well, you can’t expect it to say what you want to hear,” Dad responds. “Sorry.”
“Hmph,” she pouts. Kid temper tantrums aren’t easy to deal with.
I try again, only louder. “QUACK!” As a real duck, it’s the closest I can get to “AFLAC!”
