I’m lying. I went crazy, berserk. I ranted, cursed, threatened to sue, and made life miserable for everyone within earshot. Only in my dreams am I enlightened or the least bit patient with commercial flying.
I waited for the airport shuttle in a rainstorm, got stuck in traffic, finally arrived, and stood in line for an hour before being x-rayed. My flight was delayed and ultimately cancelled. I spent the night not sleeping in a plastic chair. The next morning I left on a bumpy six-hour flight and arrived totally wasted. But my time was well spent—reading, meditating, writing.

Its not just reaching there; on arrival, in some cases, you're put into quarantine for 14 days, no less, before you can meet your loved ones! Fliers identify themselves in your story, Jim.

That is the condition of commercial flights everywhere, Jim. Ranting will only make us more miserable.

True. But the protagonist in this story hasn't reached that level of enlightenment. He's got a long way to go.

Hear, hear, Jim. And let's not go down the path of lost luggage.

I understand this completely. I once had a flight delay that made me miss a connection....I flew from Oz to Italy via Singapore, Frankfurt and Paris and in Paris I heard that the Italian airlines were on strike so I had to spend the entire day in Paris. I went shopping.🤣 Comments are closed.
