She stretched her arms wide, took a deep breath, and walked back into the house ready to share her energy with her dying husband.
The vibrancy of summer sang a cheerful song as Lucy wandered in her garden. Flashing emerald hummingbirds shrilled high-pitched squeaks as they darted to red and purple salvia. Yellow sunshine radiated deep heat that was reflected by happy-faced sunflowers. A lemon-coloured swallowtail butterfly fluttered elegantly, then landed delicately on a pink zinnia. The velvety fragrance of phlox undulated on the breeze. Lucy gazed up at the comforting puff-clouds surrounded by the deep, steady blue sky.
She stretched her arms wide, took a deep breath, and walked back into the house ready to share her energy with her dying husband.

Beautiful description, Jennifer. I feel like I’m there admiring nature alongside Lucy. A much needed tonic for her at a time of stress.

I was glorying in a rainbow of colours until the clouds came and blotted them out.

Jennifer, you described this beautifully and completely. I know this feeling, nature fills a tank back up again, like nothing else can.
