Sitting on the back of Platero, I stroll through the Plaza del Pueblo, where the wonderful smell of fish stew greets me from the home of Carlos and his family. They invite me to their table, but I have to decline.
Fortunately I brought a bottle of cheap country wine to wash down Alfredo’s culinary attempts, because not even garlic can enhance that taste.
