Editor's Choice You are walking down the street, for the first time in a long time. Your eyes catch your ex-lover, the one who left you in bed while you were sleeping. Upon seeing him, your teeth clenches shut in anger, your eyeballs boil as though corns on fire, popping out their sockets, your fingers flings like claws motioning for a scratch. You want to pounce on him like a cougar & rip his face off. But you decide to nothing, instead you walk past him, feigning as though he is any common stranger you’ll see on the road.

A cloak of disguised nonchalance worn with dignity to hide the scourge of a scorned love.

I love the descriptions of what she wanted to do and what she chose to do. Ignoring him probably affected him more than if she had attacked. Good for her! Thank you, Adesiyan.
