She hesitates, heart palpitating, forgetting to breathe. Gravity pulls, defying her to step forward. She lets herself go, nothing but pavement forty floors below. Her reflection speeds by in the windows she passes, her mouth dry, head dizzy with fear. She curves in towards the wall, extends her legs, scrabbles with her feet, pushes off again, exhilaration overriding fear as she abseils down the building.
