Denise snuggles down under her duvet. It has been such a wonderful day; Jonathon had proposed marriage. They had been dating for six months and Denise was certain he was “the one.” Jonathon was handsome, kind, and wealthy.
Her cell phone rang. “Hi, Jonathon.”
“I just ran into Penny at the gym. Is it true that all your credit cards are maxed out? How much do you owe?”
Denise hesitated. Damn that Penny; I will get her for this.
“Jonathon, please let me explain….”
“No need. I am not going to be the one to bail you out. It’s over.”
