TEMPTATION
As the river of bad news threatened to sweep him away, it was tempting to head for shore and safely watch it all pass by. The flotsam and jetsam couldn’t hurt him there. After all, he didn’t deserve waters so treacherous. He’d done nothing to invite them.
But the water was his world, and he was built to swim. Not just to propel himself downstream but to show others what good form looks like, even in a maelstrom.
And so he swam strong and steered clear of the whirlpools and debris and showed everyone there was still a way through.
