Ashley noticed the man but didn’t think much of him. Only when she took the short cut through the park did she realise that she was being followed. She started walking fast but the man also increased his pace. When she started running she tripped and fell. She scrambled up dazed with fear and continued running until she was breathless. As he caught up with her she felt something wet and warm ran down her legs. “Are you okay?” He sounded genuinely worried. He pulled out his identification.
”Sorry if I scared you,” he explained, “I’m here to protect you.”
