Working Things Out, by Tony Covatta

25/7/2025

Molly: “Why so glum, Mort?”

“My shrink, Sigmund. Charges $185/hour. Know what he said today?”

“Can’t guess. Tell me.”

“ ‘Mort, things have a way of working out.’ I can’t believe it. All that time, money, and he spouts simple minded junk. I’m going to quit.”

“Not so fast, big guy. We’ve got a lot invested in Sigmund and each other. I want things to ‘work out.’ Help me out—was he looking right at you when he said it?”

“Couldn’t say.”

“Thought so. It’s up to you to ‘work things out.’
By the way, how’s your job hunt going?”

Maybe Mort should give up on the shrink and get a job.

Maybe that is the shrink's idea.

"Working" "Quitting" and "job hunting" lots of double entendre here!
Clever!

Help wanted. Mort has a lot to work out.

Looks like he has been wasting Mollu's money on Sigmund.

I know a lot of Mort's. Funny how their lack of effort is someone else's fault.
