Yeah, I’m a 2019 Kia Forte decorated with dozens of purple flowers. I can be spotted in most any parking lot. I make lots of people smile and a few roll their eyes. Eye rollers, call me “Veronica”.
Veronica feels so formal. Four kids keep me from becoming persnickety as they drip ice cream and drop french fries. Some days are a blast as chlorine and coconut scented sunscreen waft about. Gritty sand, whining kids and super-sized spilled slurpees suck away my joy. A good night sleep or a nap help. I still turn heads when cleaned up.

I also had to smile at Veronica.

Opening sentence in Moby Dick comes to mind: Call me Ishmael. Your writing acumen turns the reader's head too! Beautiful.

Yeah, I'm a 'smiler' too. Lovely story, lovely angle and a great deal of wittisism... Is there such a word? If not, there is now! Great one, Deborah.

I love it, Deborah! I have a bright yellow Kia Rio - I would love to add a few flowers :)

Makes me wish for a whimsical upbringing...I felt like a kid that could get sand in the car...sweet!
