Sharon thought carefully about the meanings of colors to use in her holiday painting. Red and green were traditional for Christmas, so they were a given. Green also symbolized growth and nature, positive aspects of everyday life. Orange could represent fire, or warmth during the chilly months. Purple suggested royalty, or the way many people feel during the holidays.
