I remember the day we sat huddled together, overhead a blanket of pure blue gradually transformed into a moving work of art by yellow, pink, orange, red and purple streaks as the sun dipped below the horizon. Eventually we were surrounded by an indigo sky sprinkled with shimmering diamonds and you gave me mine.
My eyes are clouded and the sky grey. Waves lap the beach, their endless repetition taunting me, a reminder of times past and my present loneliness.
