As with Andrew's haiku - good things come in small packages. Well done, Marjan, you've said it all in just a few well chosen words.

Poor seagull. Hope he hit a home run.

Hi Sue. Strike three means the batter failed to hit the ball. Don't worry. The seagull is perfectly fine! I put him in my haiku for a reason. I will let the reader use their imagination.

Hi Marjan, at first read I thought maybe a bat (only mammal with wings), was swinging from above the stadium. Now, the seagull's scream makes makes me think it screamed, "Out."

Thank you, Andrew for your feedback. I couldn't have said it better: "A mystery that makes us engage."

I interpreted it as an upcoming batter who failed to strike. So, he screamed in his mind as this could mean the end of his career. Or it will be a long time before he is selected again:)
