"The essential challenge of Friday Flash Fiction is to write a fresh new story of 100 words (or just under) in time for publication that following Friday."

Andrew Siderius Memorial Contest Submissions: 100 WORD STORIES

Writers submitting classic 90-100 word Friday Flash Fiction stories should use THIS page.
Please complete the form (using the Storybox below) for the stories themselves – Word attachments will not be opened.

Your story must relate in some way to one or other (but NOT both) of the themes:
REVENGE or TEMPTATION

STORYBOX (for stories of 90-100 words)

I wish to submit my entry below for the 100-word Andrew Siderius Competition.
Please remember the author's name, and don't CAPITALISE EVERYTHING or include "inverted commas'
Please include the appropriate capitals, the comma, spaces and the name you wish to use.

(e.g. The Old Man and the Sea, by Ernest Hemingway)

Total number of words in your submission, NOT including the title. Our preferred maximum is 100 but we'll consider up to 500. We currently do NOT accept stories of 101-150 words.

Must be 90-100 words (inc) long. Please make sure your wordcount is accurate.
Please insert your story into the "CLASSIC FFF STORY" box below. Please don't repeat the title.
Write story text in here – or copy and paste from your favourite word processor. However please be aware that we can't accept poorly formatted work or work written in poor English, or stories in bad taste. We notify all new stories on Twitter.
PLEASE TAKE CARE TO FOLLOW OUR HOUSE STYLE EXACTLY. WE HAVE TO BE EXTREMELY STRICT DURING CONTESTS.
(If you have any special instructions, such as italics, etc, please just add them at the end of the story. We'll try to accommodate if we can.)

This is to assert your copyright, and also to allow us to comply with GDPR regulations, etc..
For more details, see our page under "GDPR Compliance". There's nothing sinister here, we're just ticking a box, too.

I understand that this is my sole entry for the 2025 90-100 word competition, and I will not attempt to alter it later.

Please... before you click "Send My Story", make one last check:
THAT YOU HAVE COMPLETED THE FORM EXACTLY AS REQUESTED. THIS IS A COMPETITION, AND YOU CAN'T EXPECT US TO EDIT YOUR
SUBMISSION. EVEN THE SLIGHTEST ERROR, SUCH AS A MISSED COMMA IN THE TITLE/AUTHOR BOX, WILL LEAD TO REJECTION.

SEND MY STORY
By pressing Send My Story, I verify that my submission has been written within the last 7 days and has not been previously published elsewhere.
(See top of page – simultaneous submissions, sent this week, are fine, however.)
