"The essential challenge of Friday Flash Fiction is to write a fresh new story or poem in time for publication that following Friday."

Submissions

PLEASE NOTE THAT WE'RE TAKING A BREAK FOR THE WEEK PUBLISHING FRIDAY 9th MAY.
To maintain a little continuity, we'll schedule some of the stories from the previous week to be published that day instead.
Please DON'T send anything between 23:00 on Thursday 1st May and 00:01 on 13th May UK time – sorry, it'll be rejected.

OUR SUBMISSIONS WINDOW IS NOW MONDAY 00:00 TO THURSDAY 23:00 UK TIME ONLY

SUBMISSIONS SUBMITTED OUTWITH THAT WINDOW, INCLUDING ON THE FRIDAY ITSELF,
WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.

PLEASE NOTE ALSO THAT WE ARE NO LONGER "CARRYING OVER" LATE SUBMISSIONS.

Friday Flash Fiction accepts submissions for three categories: for our "Core Classic"
100-word stories; for longer Flash Fiction of 151-500 words in length; and for short poetry.

New submitters must submit TWO classic 100-word stories and have them published before we will consider submissions for longer flash fiction or short poetry. In general, we expect everyone to send the occasional classic Friday Flash Fiction story from time to time.

Clicking on the relevant box below will take you to the relevant submissions form.
