Supporting Friday Flash Fiction

It's free, and it always will be free, to submit to Friday Flash Fiction and to take part in our competitions. One of the things I'm most proud of is the number of writers who have taken their first steps onto the writing ladder and then gone on to more adventurous things such as short stories and even novels.

It's not free to run, however. There are annual fees to maintain the domain name "fridayflashfiction.com" and the website has to be hosted, too. In addition, we try to run three competitions each year which are free to enter, but which offer small cash prizes. In total, it costs between £350 and £400 each year.

We do receive a little income from Appeal/Feedback fees, and one of our competitions is currently generously sponsored by a writer. However, that still leaves a big funding hole. One or two readers and writers have enquired if there might be a way to offer a little financial support through this website. This page offers you the opportunity to do so.

The Ko-fi system defaults to $5.00 USD, but you can increase or lower it as you wish. Any donation, no matter how small, is welcome. We Scots have a saying: "Mony a mickle maks a muckle." And should you wish to make a more generous donation, please get in touch directly.

We also need to stress that in no way will this affect how we view any of your submissions. It's probably the case that most contributors will never even find this page anyway.

More important than anything is the gift of your stories. We love to read them, hope you enjoy seeing your work published and being part of our lovely online writing community.

Thank you, and thank you in advance for any assistance.
