APPEALS AGAINST REJECTION/REQUESTS FOR FEEDBACK

IMPORTANT NOTICE

It might save £5.00 to remind you of some of the commonest causes for rejection:

– the wordcount is wrong (the title is NOT part of the story)
– the title/author box has been incorrectly formatted
– you're appealing about a longer flash or poem when you haven't submitted enough core Classic stories
– you're submitting via a 'proxy server' such as a school, college or company network
– you've not switched off your virtual private network (VPN)

It's also a good idea to check our Six Tips for Writing Good Flash Fiction.

If you feel your submission has been rejected unfairly, or simply seek a little feedback for the future, this is how you get in touch. However, editing and managing Friday Flash Fiction is time-consuming, and it isn't free to run either. Giving feedback on submissions can be particularly laborious.

Accordingly, we charge £5.00 for any appeal or request for feedback. It's a far lower fee than any other site that we know of, and we hope you'll agree that it will also be a fair contribution towards the upkeep of Friday Flash Fiction itself. In fact, we take rather a dim view of writers who attempt to obtain feedback without paying for it.

So if you wish feedback or to appeal, please make the payment below and then complete the form below:

    Please complete the form below.

Send – I CONFIRM I HAVE PAID £5.00 FEE
We will only consider appeals or provide feedback when both the form and the payment have been received. It's possible that you might receive two separate acknowledgements as a result.

If your appeal is successful and we decide to publish your story after further consideration, your fee will be refunded.
