Signs of Spring, by Marjan Sierhuis

30/4/2021

Winter has turned a corner
Spring is in the air
Snowdrops push through soil
White flower buds ready to unfurl.

Let's hope winter continues around that corner for quite some time. It seems as though it has been a long one this time around.
This is lovely, Marjan, and maybe more apropos than you realized as we stumble out of the Covid winter and look forward to the new awakenings of spring
Nicely done
Jim

Yes, those first flowers of Spring are so important in setting the mood for the season. Beautiful imagery, Marjan. Happy Spring to you!

Winter arrives for us next month, Marjan, so our blossoms are dwindling away until next spring. But winter holds its own beauty.

Thank you, Sue for reading. May you have a nice winter season.

    Poetry

This is the section where fiction prose becomes something else. We still expect the poems to be short, though – sonnets, perhaps, or around that length at the very most.

    Poems submitted should be
    no longer than 160 words
    and contain
    no more than 16 lines.

100 words remains the approximate target.

Please submit using the Poetry Submissions Page.
