Pausing our 12 mile hike back we gorged blackberry bushes, purple mouthed we then bore home several pounds more for jam making.
Every morning we ate this spread thickly on toast, reminded of valleys, bogs, hedgerow, lanes and reviving sea, sun blazing, rain driving, thick mists and buffeting wind.
A most satisfying wild summer’s day.
