The man was seated on a stone bench under a tree with his back to Josh, his ears plugged to his cellphone. Josh recognized him instantly by his long ponytail and trademark red shirt. There wasn't a soul about, and the setting was perfect for Josh's purpose. He stole behind the man, looked this way and that, pulled out his knife, and rammed it into the man's spine. The man uttered a short, agonized cry and fell over.
The man was a stranger. "His bloody fault!" Josh swore. "Why on earth keep a ponytail and wear a red shirt?"

If Josh hadn't taken the cowardly way, and stabbed him in the back, the stranger would have lived to wear his red shirt, and tie back his hair another day.
