It was somewhat odd and difficult for others to comprehend. They said she was naïve and should learn to live a more controlled life. The world just didn’t work the way she wanted they said.
Elise never argued, she knew there were lots of ways of seeing. Some clearer than others, some harder to define, but all valid.
While her photographs may never get exhibited or win prizes, that didn’t matter. Sometimes there was satisfaction in not being seen.
