100 miles is nothing on a road like this. Some folks will be behind you for 50 before you even realise they’re there. But I realised that blue critter was there pretty much from the start. Augh! What a cliff-hanger (almost literally). At least, we can probably assume that the narrator lived to tell the tale. (Unless, of course, s/he is telling it from Heaven/Hell, the grave, etc.)
