A girl in the front row smiled at him. She slowly crossed her legs, letting her skirt ride up.
‘The policies of the present government are, er.’
The girl licked her lips, recrossed her legs and her skirt rose higher still.
‘And, um, if elected I...’ His speech slipped from the lectern, pages scattering while the audience laughed.
‘Thanks, Molly,’ said the opposing candidate to the girl as they left the hall. ‘It was a great idea of yours, and it worked.’
