At first, I didn’t understand how the rain would change my life. I loved the feel of the gentle drops as they caressed my naked arms. When the drops became a torrent, I recoiled from the harshness.
During the periods of sunlight, I turned my face upward the sky, luxuriating in the warmth and light.
I now fill the small crack in the concrete walkway.
