In the Creativity wing, they saw a long, slender, yellow, six-sided object with a sharp black point and pink rubber end. Beside it, a small, plastic rectangular box with a hole in one end and a silver blade on top.
“What’s that?”
“A No. 2 pencil and sharpener. We wrote, sketched, composed music, designed buildings, solved math problems with them. Make mistakes? Change your mind? Pink eraser scrubs it away. Dull point? Twist it in the sharpener.”
“Or, break it in half.”
“Sounds fun. Wish I had one.”
