When he arrived home, the look in his wife’s eyes was the same
The rail replacement bus driver wondered if he had the world’s worst job. People travelling on his bus were facing disruption and delay to their journey. He saw it in their eyes as they boarded his bus – accusing, reproachful, disappointed. No matter how smoothly he drove, how quickly he got them from station where their rail journey had been terminated, to the one where another express train would speed them onwards, he knew they blamed him for the leaves on the line, the flooding, the engineering delays.
When he arrived home, the look in his wife’s eyes was the same

That's tragic. Hits the heart this story.

So many honest hardworking people bear the frustration of others when their lives are disrupted. Be kind; it's not their fault.
