I’ll never forget the night I made myself stay up late to see Santa. I heard him on the roof. I was excited. Climbing down the chimney, its claws were the first thing I saw — long, blood-stained razors. I watched with wide eyes. It pushed its bulk from the narrow passage, scrapping its way into the room. No sound would come to my lips. It slithered toward me. I couldn’t escape. But mother knew its secret. She had left out milk and cookies. It passed by me. Cookies crunched. Milk slurped. It left presents and slunk away up the chimney.

Now I know why you shouldn't lie in wait for Santa. And why you should leave out milk and cookies.😊
