My soul tried to reach my body effortfully. Everything that had moved swiftly started to take a slow motion. The hours halted the minutes and the minutes hindered the seconds from ticking and amongst, I found my mind meandered between the years.
“When enough is enough?” pleaded my heart.
“I’m sorry. I can’t help it,” said my mind sadly.
The numbness and the bereavement visited me taciturnly. Both left footprints that were hardly wiped by tears.
In a moment I realised, both love and forgiveness had won the life.
