Sipping tea, she serves it with a slice of normal life--lost love, Alice becoming an alcoholic. There is no social distancing in Ambridge; her problems fall away like meat off a bone (for fifteen minutes anyway).
Switching off her company, Bertha yawns, one down, God knows how many to go. Tomorrow maybe she'll visit Kyoto or become a sphinx moth.
