After a fitful night, Miriam awoke the next morning feeling light as a feather. Overnight she had transformed into a butterfly, fiery orange with delicate gossamer wings, and she was ecstatic. She felt free. Without regret, she gently kissed her husband and flew out the window, ready to begin her new life.
Soaring gracefully, joyously fluttering her wings, Miriam heard her husband’s voice from afar. He was yelling, “Miriam, wake up! Stop flapping your arms! Ouch!”
