It’s the last days of the sun as it finally prepares to become a red giant star. Everyone has left Earth long ago in great starships, and only Lyta and I remain to witness its turning red, cool just a tad, cosmically-speaking, then inflate to swallow Mercury, Venus and Earth’s orbits. The red shift begins, so it’s time for us to step into the waiting Wormhole Portal and safely leave this solar system in respectful silence, fulfilling our duty as Galactic Observers. Hey, Lyta, want to stop at the blue star Icarus for a cold drink?
