Sam had always been a strict disciplinarian with the boys. Spilt milk, broken toy, whatever, was enough for them to get slapped soundly. The boys, 2 years apart, were told repeatedly not to play ball in the house. Well, after tiring of jumping on the bed with grandma pleading with them to stop, they got out that fateful ball. Who exactly kicked the ball is unknown. But the result was plain – the chandelier was repositioned from ceiling to floor.
