As I start leaving, I find a sprawling mango tree near the gate. I remember my friends and I had planted it on a World Environment Day. It is laden with mangoes. A breeze shakes its branches, littering the ground with dry and yellow leaves.
A ripe mango falls before me.
I feel grateful for the gift from someone who remembers me.
