After school one day, a half-dozen of us stood behind Ronnie as he cocked the Colt he had found in his dad’s drawer and aimed at a junked car.
“Man, that window just exploded!” said David.
“Just think what this thing could do to a person,” said Ronnie. “Tear a huge hole in ya.”
“Like Clint Eastwood in Dirty Harry,” said Rudy. “ ‘It could blow your head clean off.’ ”
We all laughed. It was a pretty good impression. We all took turns doing our own – “It could blow your head clean off” – and we’d laugh some more.
