When I found out I didn't get into medical school, I was devastated.
But it struck me when you arrived home from your game wearing your umpire shirt, that life was full of black and white. I just needed to decide how I would play my notes.

Your black and white striped umpire shirt always reminds me of the keys on your piano. You improvise your theme song, "Don't Worry, Be Happy", every time you play it: rich with fortissimo chords; sprinkled with presto trills; smoothed with legato arpeggios. On occasion, you even play it as a plaintive lament.

Clever, the stripes swirl, blend with the piano keys, nice...good imagery Jennifer.

Lovely, Jennifer, and as Padmini said - inspiring. I'll try to remember those black and white keys next time things don't go as well as I hope!

Skillfully mastered, Jennifer. The theme of “black and white” in different meanings carries through brilliantly. I really love the last paragraph.
