In the pen with the others, she knew her days were numbered. She was just too old for someone to adopt her.
Optimistically she thought, "I'll land on my feet and live in a palace next time... Meow"!

So she slept around... she didn't care...as long as she was cozy and comfortable that's all that mattered. She didn't go hungry either, though there were a few meager days here and there. However, those carefree days weren't so carefree. There was always the risk of being picked up by the paddy wagon as happened the other day.
In the pen with the others, she knew her days were numbered. She was just too old for someone to adopt her. Optimistically she thought, "I'll land on my feet and live in a palace next time... Meow"!

Despite hardship, she is optimistic. Live each day as it comes. A nice story of hope, Pamela.

Some of us prefer old pets that just sleep all day. I'll put an optimistic spin to the story.

She'd live like a princess in cat heaven if she came to me.

Good piece for getting people to adopt older pets from shelters, humane societies, and the street if they have the finances to take care of the medical needs of an aging pet. Story nearly made me cry.
