Scared to hold him in my arms lest a speck of dust from my old woollen cardigan got into his eye. What was he seeing before him? But the blur of an idiotic smile, the awe and wonder in my eyes. At seven hours old? What is a sense without memory…? Things you think of as a new father; like, babies are born without kneecaps?

Educational. I hadn't realised babies were born without kneecaps. Delivering your baby is a first for every new mother and to every new proud father, that mother is the first to ever give birth. Comments are closed.
