People, if they see me coming, do their best to avoid me. “I will eat healthier,” they say. Or “I will quit smoking.” Or “Please not now. I have grandkids.” Their prayers fall on deaf ears.
A young mother, pushing a stroller, sees me and suddenly changes direction. It wasn’t her time, alas, the same could not be said for her baby.
Perhaps the mother should have been paying more attention to the oncoming traffic instead of me. The poor child.
