The rain hit my eyes, blurring my vision. But, the attack route was already planned. Every move was made with measured calm. I moved carefully, but with courage and purpose, and soon I was surrounded by hundreds of fighters as I reached the junction, a battlefield of chaos where speed is everything. Tightening up the backpack straps, I gritted my teeth and ploughed into the sea of office-going pedestrians braving oncoming traffic while crossing the street against the red light in the morning rush-hour, with my bicycle ringing frantically, “Ding ding dong.” (Trying to stop them before they stop you.)

Thank God, I'm a country girl! I find a visit to the city (Melbourne) interesting and it's fun to crowd watch but not every day!

These are the junctions of Dawson St and St Stephen's Green in Dublin, and Dawson St and Nassau St I had to pass through every morning to get to college. Now looking back I wonder how I did it all those years. Many thanks Sandra. Comments are closed.
