There is Master Wu. He looks very angry and very tired this morning. I heard noises last night. I think his wife is giving him much trouble. Much trouble. She is a big woman, and sometimes she chases Master Wu with a broom. I cannot imagine anyone else doing something like that to Master Wu. He would not stand for it. He would punish them ruthlessly, I think. Even the village police do not bother Master Wu. After all, most of them were his students when younger, and he still acts like everyone’s teacher. Except for his wife, of course.

Welcome back, Bobby. I really like this one, especially its understated style – the back history of Mr Wu's conduct as a teacher is left to the reader's imagination. Like all bullies, he's a coward himself and is easily bullied by his wife.

Thanks, Gordon. Good to be back, though I haven't really been gone. Just taking time out to stretch my writing muscles and try to break into some other ezines. I now have stuff in several new places...and since I have been absent from Friday Flash Fiction for awhile I'll try to divert my efforts toward posting with my favorite writer's group! By the by, I have been reading random stories in FFF just to keep up. Am greatly impressed with the influx of new members, and delighted to find much talent to go along with all the great talent already present. Long Live Friday Flash Fiction and all our wonderful members!!! Comments are closed.
