“Anna, please take the dog for a walk.”
Anna nodded as Mary walked upstairs. When she came back down, Anna was busy cooking the evening meal. Mary looked around, a puzzled look on her face.
“Where’s the dog?”
Anna turned around. “I took it for a walk.”
“Well, where is it?”
“I don’t know. I took it to the gate, and it walked down the road.”
It was only then that Mary remembered that ‘ANNA’ stood for Android Neuro-Nascent Assimilation and even though ‘she’ was the best humanoid robot on the market, one still needed to phrase requests very carefully.
