
Then the wolf saw the old woman leave her cabin. He knew she was headed to town and would be gone for several hours. He pushed the door open. Inside it was blessedly quiet and warm. He jumped on the bed, curled up and slept.
The opening door woke him. He yawned. A little girl screamed and ran out the door.
By the time she got to town, her active imagination had dramatically embellished the tale.
